SSF UK is delighted to welcome Sally Sellwood, from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) as a guest speaker at our first HR & Payroll Network event, taking place online next Tuesday April 15th.
Sally joined the CIPD in early 2026 and works across the organisation’s Public Policy and Knowledge Content teams, where she advises on employment law across the full breadth of CIPD activity. Her work plays a key role in championing better work and working lives, while helping HR professionals stay ahead of legislative change and bring best practice into their organisations with confidence.
With a career that spans government, industry and fast-growth organisations, Sally brings a rare mix of legal expertise and real‑world HR perspective. She qualified as a solicitor into the Government Legal Service’s Employment Litigation team, acting for a range of government departments in complex employment disputes. She later joined the Ministry of Defence Legal Advisers team, advising on civilian employment law, before moving into industry as Employment Lawyer at Vodafone UK.
Beyond traditional legal practice, Sally has also run her own content marketing business specialising in legal marketing, helping organisations translate complex employment issues into clear, accessible insight. Most recently, prior to joining the CIPD, she held a dual Marketing Manager and HR Business Partner role within a fast‑growth SME – giving her first‑hand experience of the challenges HR and payroll teams face day‑to‑day.
Sally will be joining us online next week to share the latest insights on the Employment Rights Act, offering attendees a timely and practical view of what the legislation means in practice and what HR, payroll and shared services professionals should be thinking about now.
We are thrilled to welcome Sally to SSF UK and look forward to a powerful and insightful session that sets the tone for our HR & Payroll Network for 2026!!
