We are delighted to announce that Mathew Akrigg, Policy and Advisory Leader at The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP), will be joining us as a guest speaker for our upcoming online HR & Payroll Forward Focus session on September 1st.
As one of the leading voices within the payroll profession, Mathew works extensively to ensure that the views and experiences of payroll professionals are represented through government engagement, consultation responses, research and industry advocacy. His role places him at the forefront of the legislative, regulatory and policy developments shaping the future of payroll.
A full member of the CIPP and holder of the Foundation Degree in Payroll Management, Mathew brings a wealth of practical experience to the session. Prior to joining the CIPP, he worked in an outsourced payroll environment providing services to the NHS and also has a background in accountancy.
More recently, Mathew was seconded into HMRC to support the implementation of mandatory payrolling of benefits, giving him valuable insight into one of the most significant changes facing payroll professionals in the years ahead.
During the session, Mathew will provide a practical and forward-looking update on the regulatory and legislative changes impacting payroll, HR and reward professionals. He will explore emerging priorities across the profession, key considerations for organisations and the actions that teams should be taking now to prepare for future developments with confidence.
As the payroll landscape continues to evolve, keeping up to date with legislative change, compliance requirements and government initiatives has never been more important. This session will offer attendees the opportunity to hear directly from one of the industry's most respected experts and gain valuable insight into what's on the horizon for payroll and HR professionals.
Members will also have the opportunity to participate in an interactive discussion focused on the future of HR and Payroll, sharing experiences, challenges and ideas with peers from across the SSF UK community.
Registration for the HR & Payroll Forward Focus session is now open via the SSF UK website.
