We are delighted to announce that Remy Caplan and Cai Dennis, Business Directors at Hays, will be joining us as guest speakers at our upcoming Financial Accounting & Reporting Network Event on 9 June, hosted by member organisation BDO UK in Liverpool.
Bringing a wealth of experience across finance leadership, transformation and shared services, Remy and Cai will share valuable insights into how organisations can continue to evolve their finance functions to meet the demands of an increasingly complex and fast-changing business landscape.
Remy has over 15 years’ experience working with senior finance leaders across global organisations, PLCs and high-growth businesses. His work focuses on supporting finance leadership appointments and helping organisations shape and develop their finance functions as they evolve.
A key part of Remy’s experience is in supporting shared services and wider finance transformation agendas. He works with organisations as they design and build shared service centres, develop multi-region delivery models and enhance capability across core areas such as reporting, FP&A, commercial and operational finance.
At Hays, Remy partners with clients through periods of change, including growth, transformation and operating model shifts, with a particular interest in how shared services functions continue to adapt to support efficiency, scalability and global consistency.

Cai works with senior finance leaders across UK based and global organisations, PLCs and high‑growth businesses to shape and lead effective finance functions. At Hays, he partners with CFOs and finance leadership teams to design, build and evolve Shared Service Centres, supporting the development of scalable, multi‑region finance operating models within large, complex organisations.
A core part of Cai’s work focuses on finance transformation and change programmes, including growth, restructuring, and operating model evolution. He supports leaders in strengthening capabilities across reporting, FP&A and operational finance, and in ensuring leadership structures are aligned to business strategy.
Cai also works closely with clients to design rigorous processes for the hiring and onboarding of both interim and permanent finance leaders. This ensures new hires integrate quickly, add value from day one, and remain aligned to transformation objectives. Through well‑designed shared services, disciplined onboarding and strong leadership teams, Cai helps organisations drive efficiency, consistency, and long‑term resilience.
