ADRIAN GODDARD
Adrian Goddard is a passionate and purpose-driven Commercial Director with over 20 years of strategic expertise in B2B & B2C sales and marketing, specialising in Payroll and Human Capital Management.
Throughout his career, Adrian has consistently driven revenue growth, enhanced profit margins and led high-performing teams while shaping commercial strategies that deliver lasting impact. Now at the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP), he champions the payroll profession, its people, its purpose and its recognition across the UK and wider community.
Known for his hands-on and people-first approach, Adrian thrives on turning ambitious ideas into reality, breaking through challenges and inspiring teams to excel. He is skilled in recruitment, coaching, career development and creating collaborative environments, underpinned by his Level 5 HND in Coaching & Leadership. He also brings expertise in sales enablement, change management, outsourced operations, and strategic partnerships.
Outside of work, Adrian is a husband and proud father to three teenagers, a man of faith and an advocate for personal growth and wellbeing as a qualified Mental Health First Aider. Whether developing future tennis champions in his children, spending time in the gym, playing piano or enjoying the chaos brought by a young Cocker Spaniel, Adrian values connection, laughter and helping others see potential they may not yet see in themselves.
JULIE LALLY
Julie has spent over 30 years in the Payroll and HR industry, during which she has developed a real passion for helping people embrace change and drive performance in a rapidly changing business environment.
Julie’s expertise has seen her working with some of the leading global software suppliers in the HR and Payroll industry such as Zellis, ADP, MHR, Mitrefinch, Advanced and Ciphr, leading innovation research & development and sales to help support employee development, engagement, and business growth.
Julie was also a CIPP tutor for over 10 years supporting students through their payroll qualifications.
Julie’s key achievement in the world of payroll was to design and deliver the world’s first real-time payroll solution in 2018, changing the way payroll professionals process payroll, removing payroll cut-off periods to improve payroll accuracy.
She is keen to share her years of research, insight, and knowledge to help others. Julie analyses technology, the economy, the human revolution and the future of work and the impact this will have on employers; she regularly speaks at business conferences, posts regular blogs and topical Payroll and HR issues, and continues to feature in thought leadership articles in various media.
