We are delighted to announce that Suzanne Sims FCMA CGMA FCMI, Head of Strategy and Service Development at Defence Business Services (DBS), has joined SSF UK as the Network Leader for our newly launched Public Sector Network.
DBS is one of the largest shared services providers in Europe, delivering critical services such as HR, Payroll, Armed Forces Pensions and Compensation, Finance, and Information Services for the Ministry of Defence. It is one of five clusters delivering shared services across Government. In her role, Suzanne leads the Shared Services Operating Model, transforming how shared services in Defence operate.
Suzanne brings a wealth of experience to this leadership role. After graduating with dual honours degrees in Business Administration from Hochschule Reutlingen and Middlesex University, she trained as a Chartered Management Accountant. Over the past 25 years, Suzanne has held transformation and programme leadership roles in major organisations, including Shared Services at Tesco and BAE Systems, and worked as a management consultant before joining the civil service in 2019.
Her career has been defined by delivering transformation with technology as the enabler, enhancing efficiency, improving service delivery, and creating better user experiences. Suzanne’s expertise and passion for innovation will be invaluable as SSF UK launches this new network to connect public sector members, share best practices, and drive forward-thinking strategies.
Suzanne will be leading this exciting new network along side Matt McKeown, Deputy Director Strategy at Cabinet Office, and we look forward to introducing them at the first event taking place online on April 30th.
Welcome, Suzanne!
