SSF UK is pleased to show its support for Race Equality Week 2026, taking place from February 2nd - 8th. This annual campaign brings organisations and individuals together to highlight the importance of racial equality in the workplace and to encourage meaningful, sustained action. This year’s theme, Change Needs All Of Us, reinforces the message that progress requires collective commitment, responsibility and consistent effort.
Created by Race Equality Matters, the week provides a national platform for organisations to reflect on their culture, explore how fair and inclusive their systems are, and consider what more can be done to ensure that everyone feels valued and able to contribute. It encourages all employers — including those with limited diversity — to take an active role in reducing barriers, challenging assumptions and ensuring their teams feel respected and supported.
Across the shared services community, people thrive in environments built on respect, fairness and inclusion. SSF UK is committed to supporting conversations and actions that help create workplaces where everyone feels they belong and are treated equitably.
By supporting Race Equality Week, we reinforce our belief that:
The 2026 theme highlights that progress towards race equality is not the responsibility of a single department, initiative or group, it requires everyone to contribute. Organisations are encouraged to recognise where assumptions may go unchallenged, where voices may be missing, and where systems or processes could be improved to support fairness and inclusion.
The message is clear: progress relies on everyday actions, informed leadership and an ongoing commitment to creating workplaces where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
Race Equality Week provides a range of activities and tools that organisations can use to support engagement, including:
These resources are designed to help teams reflect, talk openly and take practical steps that foster inclusion.
SSF UK will continue to support awareness initiatives like Race Equality Week that encourage better conversations, stronger cultures and more inclusive workplaces across the shared services community. We remain committed to fostering environments where everyone feels respected, supported and able to contribute fully.
Race Equality Week is an important reminder that progress requires continuous attention and that Change Needs All Of Us, every day of the year.
