SSF UK was delighted to begin our first Member Engage visit of 2026 with one of our newest member organisations, Hologic, Inc. Our Member Engage programme plays a vital role in deepening relationships across our community, enabling us to hear directly from the people shaping shared services inside their organisations. This visit marked an energetic and insightful start to the year.
Spending the afternoon onsite with the Hologic team gave us the opportunity to explore their shared services journey in more depth and gain a clearer understanding of the developments underway across their function. These conversations are invaluable, offering meaningful insight into their priorities, operational focus areas and aspirations for the months ahead.
During the visit, we discussed a number of important themes including the challenges the team is navigating, the ongoing transformation within their service areas, and the pressures and complexities that come with working in a global organisation. We also explored the key topics and hot topics Hologic would like SSF UK to spotlight across our networks, events and learning programmes this year. These themes help shape our upcoming agendas and ensure that our support remains relevant, practical and directly aligned to the needs of our community.
The visit also allowed us to better understand how Hologic is approaching leadership, systems, process design and service enhancement, as well as the areas where collaboration and shared learning with the wider SSF UK membership could add value. As always, hearing first‑hand perspectives ensures our membership community continues to respond to the real experiences of those working in shared services roles.
