Today, we had the pleasure of hosting the latest Order to Cash network event at member organisation Amey Group Shared Services in Speke — and what a fantastic day it was!
The event kicked off with a warm welcome and introduction from Mike Norris, Nathan Killen, and Nicola Nairn, who shared Amey’s inspiring 5 journey. Their story highlighted the transition from Oxford to GSS Liverpool, their achievements aligned with key strategic pillars, and a look ahead at future goals — all underpinned by a strong organisational culture.
Next, Kameliya Petrova delivered an engaging introduction to Samworth Brothers Shared Services, offering valuable insights into their continuous improvement journey. Her session shed light on training, tools, automation, and efficiency within their accounts receivable team — a great learning opportunity for all.
The morning concluded with an interactive session on Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), led by Network Leader Paul Quinti. This interactive session not only provided a solid overview of OKRs but also encouraged breakout discussions on how to align operations and strategy across the O2C cycle.
After a delightful networking lunch, we welcomed Amber Lovell, Senior Account Manager and Peter Withington, Power Platform Developer at BCN, who delivered a brilliant masterclass on leveraging the Microsoft technology stack. Their demo showcased how automation through the Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot can streamline the O2C process — a real highlight of the day!
We wrapped up with a dynamic session on continuous improvement in the O2C process, introduced by Network Leader Kerstie Blatchly. Her overview set the stage for another engaging breakout session, where members explored ways to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and elevate the customer experience across their organisations.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us — your participation made this a truly excellent day of connection, collaboration, and shared learning.
Special thanks to Kameliya for her insightful presentation, and to Amey for being excellent hosts and treating us to a wonderful networking lunch.
We’re already looking forward to seeing you all again at the Reflection Session this September!
