This week we held the first Purchase to Pay network event online and it was great to see everyone.
In this challenging time of price increases, social and economic turbulence, we asked members how can we secure our day to day operation? What new strategies, processes, systems, controls should we set-up for our businesses and is Direct Debit the right solution to build strong and agile relations with our suppliers?
We welcomed a member contribution from Sam Butler, Head of PTP Global Support. Sam shared the ISS Facility Services journey on how they set themselves up for a future DD approach to drive controlled, positive outcomes for all stakeholders in the process.
We entered the New Year full of business challenges for our companies and world. We are setting up new goals and objectives for our departments, teams, ourselves. Deepening inflation has resulted in a significant increase in requests to shorten payment terms, change payment methods, paying upfront deliveries. Network Chairs Joanna Baines, Nicole Moore and Gosia Mendyk-Ebonine focused on three aspects: process workflows, governance and systems, and discussed how we could make our cooperation with suppliers more resilient and less risky and explored how advance payments and deposits affect our financial results and cash flows?
