Firstly, Justine, Kirsty and I would like to thank everyone who was able to join us on the day for our online Digital and Operational Excellence network session. Special call outs and thank you to Naomi, Michael, Harry and Tatiana for their fantastic contributions on the day.
Summary of the day :-
The interactive Sli.do session focussed on Continuous Improvements
· 70% of members said they had a change management team
· Ownership, commitment and curiosity were key qualities
· Culture and people were the most important things to consider when implementing CI.
Thank you to the She-ra’s, Captain Cavemen, Goofy’s and all of you fab cartoon characters for your contribution!
Naomi from Hallmark Cards ISSC
· Phoenix journey and how they use this methodology to map and score their processes
· Utilise a RAG and scoring mechanism followed by a more detailed action plan with clear accountabilities and timelines.
· Engaging the people on the ground to work them that not just brings them on the journey but also gives great opportunities for development.
Following Naomi’s great presentation, we broke into small groups to share experiences related to frustrations when implementing change. All 6 groups provide diverse and valuable feedback such as gaining senior leadership buy-in, time constraints, gaining IT support and benefits realisation tracking. I hope the 30% who did not have formal change management teams gained insights that may support them in their future change endeavours.
Michael and Harry from BCN and Tatiana from Microsoft
· New emerging technology called Copilot
· Launched in November will be embedded in current Microsoft products – safe and secure
· Fantastic demo from Tatiana on what capabilities co-pilot can support day to day activities
Justine, Kirsty and I were delighted you attended our event and we hope to see you at the Annual Conference in November. We hope you gained the opportunity to widen your network and have taken some learnings from the event.
Thank you from Justine, Kirsty and Nichola
