The report launched today and provides leaders with a great overview of the hiring landscape, what employees are looking for from their employer, and how to retain and attract top talent.

Hiring Trends - Supporting employees through the rising cost-of-living crisis includes focusing on employee wellbeing, mental health support and financial training
- Earnings under pressure due to inflation which is eroding salary increases
- 78% fear that the rising cost of living will push employees to seek higher salaries
- Uncertainty about attracting and retaining talent with a third of business leaders having to make more counteroffers
- Key skills are hard to find and are holding back UK businesses
| Flexible Working - Remote working is not the ‘holy grail’ it was touted to be. Hybrid working has overtaken fully remote options as businesses look to maintain culture and retain staff
- Nearly 70% say hybrid working is a compromise that works for employees and their employers
- 2 days in the office and 3 days from home is the most common option (either by choice or by workplace policy)

Perks & Benefits - To make office-life more appealing, more than half plan to offer commuting discounts or season ticket loans to aid with the cost of commuting
- A third of companies are planning to add stress reduction programmes designed to curb burnout-related and resignations
- A third of businesses are considering reducing working hours with retention of salary
- Perks could be cut to aid due to the cost of living
| Corporate culture (incl ESG, DEI and Ethics) - 22% of younger workers would put corporate values above salary
- Candidates wish to get an idea of the corporate culture before they commit - 73% of hirers have been asked about at least one element of corporate culture at interview
- Many businesses are focusing on increasing inclusion programmes - nearly a quarter amending hiring processes and / or creating Employee Network Groups to aid with culture
