Sharing some of the highlights from yesterday's Financial Accounting & Reporting network event at Bristol Myers Squibb. What a fantastic day we had!!!
The session kicked off with the journey so far from Laure Brown and a tour off the SSC. What an insightful journey and amazing building!!
Magda Makin and Andrew Doogan then moved onto an interactive Sli.do session focusing on how we can future proofing or teams and ourselves in FA&R. It was a great discussion amongst the group, listening to members exchanging ideas on models, expectations and how they are and plan to future-proof their teams. Lots of sharing, lessons learnt, hints and tips on how to attract, retain and develop talent.
After a truly fabulous lunch we moved on to second session focused on Automation in FA&R – The Good, the Bad and the Best”. This session took the group into smaller breakouts where memebrs shared their automation journeys across their different organisations discussing the options, opportunities and pitfalls and how we can enable the FA&R process and people through technology.
A huge thank you to Wendy Gee and Laure Brown for hosting us and looking after us, you really do have a great place to work!! Thank you to our Network Chairs Magda Makin and Andrew Doogan, I know Andrew you were there virtually but we were glad you could join us and Magda you did a fantastic job of getting the conversation going and keeping the conversation flowing. And also thank you to our amazing members for taking the time to join us, we hope you enjoyed and took something away that you can share and implement with your teams.
