Government's call for evidence on TUPE regulations

Are you a CIPD member? As part of its Plan to Make Work Pay, the Government has launched a Call for Evidence on the TUPE Regulations. This is expected to be the first step towards a broader review and modernisation of the legislation.

Given how complex TUPE can be in practice, CIPD are keen to shape a well-informed, credible response that reflects real organisational experience and helps influence how any future reforms are approached.

We are happy to be supporting SSF UK Collaborators CIPD by gathering input from across our SSF UK community with this initiative. CIPD are particularly interested in hearing from organisations with direct experience of TUPE in a shared services environment and who are existing CIPD members to explore:

• What works well within the current TUPE framework
• The practical benefits and challenges of managing business transfers
• Where improvements or greater clarity would make a difference

If you are willing to share your perspective, this is a great opportunity to help influence future policy and ensure the voice of shared services is represented.
