What a great start to the week! You don't need to invest in any other training and development aids this week, it's all here!
Sonia kicked it all off with the first of a series of informative and inspirational webinars with Growth Mindset, absolutely excellent, I came away with a few things, mostly not to be afraid of mistakes, if you make them, learn from them and move on, (anyone who remembers the gremlins from our last conference will empathise with me here!). Turn failures into successes. Be a catalyst for change, not an obstacle. I think I have tried to do this with my own leadership style over the years and I am very much a facilitator. That's good though, I love encouraging others to succeed, it shows confidence in one's own abilities.
I missed the second webinar from Paul Morrison at the Hackett Group unfortunately as I was stuck on a call but I believe again, it was excellent, (apologies Paul, I will review once I am able to listen to the recorded version) Our FD, David Herd listened in so we'll invite his comments and any others who listened in...
What are the attributes of a change champion? One of the member contributions from Catherine Haslam, ITV. This was a best practise share from the last annual conference and outlines the attributes, role, key benefits, opportunities and lessons learned for change champions in business. This document is featured under our resources section.
Our national survey, in collaboration with Grant Thornton, also commenced today with the results to be announced at the first Leaders meeting in April, we are just putting the finishing touches to the agenda and this event will go up on the website very shortly. Please take part in the survey, it would be most appreciated and the analytics are sure to be of interest to you all.
