Baldwins Solicitors are running the next webinar in their Covid19 "Counting down the days - Survive, Revive, Thrive" series on the 16th June from 12:30pm until 13:30pm.
Like you, we are all counting down the days to normality, a return to our doors being fully open for business. More than ever we are speaking and listening to our clients to help ensure that your advisers are working closely with you and helping you and your business not just Survive, but go on to Revive and Thrive.
The Job Retention Scheme (JRS), in its current form, has been with us since March and will continue until 30 June 2020. From 1 July, 'phase II' of the scheme will commence and will run through to the proposed end date of 31 October. Whilst we are already aware in outline of the key changes to be made to the current scheme, detailed information will be published by the Treasury this Friday 12 June.
In this webinar, experts, David Hedges (National Head of Employment Tax) and Grant Saunders (National Head of Payroll), will be commenting on the Treasury announcement and set out the key JRS changes businesses should be aware of, including:
• The opportunity for furloughed employees to work on a part time basis.
• Changes to reporting and claiming periods.
• Restrictions on the number of employees for whom claims may be made from 1 July.
• The reductions in the amount of claims an employer may make from 1 August.
