It really does take a village… and what a village I feel very lucky to have!!
Today has been a pretty special one for People Services, with our new Case management solution (ASK PS) going live alongside another significant technology milestone delivery - the technical solution underpinning our establishment data collaboration with Finance.
There is always a temptation when something goes live to focus on the things we’ve delivered (both of which are brilliant btw). But for me, the story really worth sharing is about the people who made it happen. These have not been easy projects. There have been significant challenges, competing priorities, immensely difficult moments and plenty of problems to solve along the way! However, the resilience, commitment and sheer brilliance I’ve seen from our People Systems Project teams has been nothing short of outstanding!
What I’m most proud of is the way colleagues from People Services, Digital Services, Finance Business Services and our wider University teams have stepped outside of their day jobs, shared expertise, challenged thinking, solved problems, supported one another and kept pushing through to outcome. Not because it was easy — but because we collectively believed in what we were trying to achieve for the University and our colleagues.
Technology and transformation often get talked about in terms of systems, processes and deliverables. Days like this are a great reminder that PEOPLE make the real magic in transformation happen!!
To everyone who has played a part — whether you’ve been at the centre of these projects or quietly making things happen behind the scenes — thank you. I am incredibly proud of what this village has achieved together.
