What a truly fantastic morning visiting the team at Royal London!
This morning I was out on the road and over to Alderley Edge in Cheshire to meet the team at Royal London. I had the pleasure of getting a grand tour of their beautiful building which is flooded with natural light and surrounded by open fields. On the ground floor, there were stalls selling clothes, accessories, prints and even a pick-and-mix station! It was such a vibrant and welcoming space.
The morning with spent getting to know the brilliant team: Richard Matthews, Ged Flanaghan-Lloyd, Derrick Porritt, Michelle Thorpe, Leah Cameron, Chris Stokes, and Dave Fidler. We had some fantastic conversations exploring everything from Royal London's current initiatives to their exciting plans for the future.
AI, Microsoft, recruitment, and tech were all hot topics of discussion, along with a real curiosity around what other members are doing in similar areas. Keep an eye out for some virtual Knowledge is Power Symposiums and member discussions that could be on the horizon!
It was a brilliant opportunity to get properly introduced to the team, learn more about their SSC, and upcoming projects, celebrate their successes, and understand the challenges they’re currently tackling.
We had a great discussion about what’s in store for our flagship annual conference this November at the stunning Chester Cathedral. Fantastic to know that Royal London are already working on their Future Vision Award nominations…....we can't wait to see them come through!
