We held out latest Operational Excellence (OE) network meeting on the 4th of July 2019 at Premier Foods in Manchester. The meeting was kindly hosted by Rob Lancaster - Head of Service Management at Premier Foods and Richard Denning - Head of Shared Services at Central England Co-operative.
The meeting began with an introduction from our hosts and followed with an insightful presentation from Rob on his Operational Excellence journey, focusing on how Premier Foods have developed a culture of continuous improvement. The lessons learned from Premier Foods’ recent RPA implementation. A round-table discussion on the drivers for robotics within Shared Services. And a tour of their Shared Service Centre.
We enjoyed a very interesting presentation from Justin Thomas and Divya Kaiwar, from our Sponsors Winshuttle, on RPA. What it's all about, where do you start and how to get insights from the data.
The day finished with a discussion started by Richard on Robotic Automation - Commision v Culture driven?
The feedback from the event has been extremely positive, including:
“This morning was really interesting with an excellent presentation from Premier Foods. It generated a lot of discussion and interaction”
“This is my first event and it’s been really useful. There are definitely takeaways that I will be utilising in my own organisation”.
Slides from the meeting have been uploaded to the resources section of the SSF-UK website.
We would like to thank all of the presenters and attendees who contributed to a very valuable event.
The next Operational Excellence network meeting will take place on day 1 of our annual conference, on the 20th November 2019, at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool.
We look forward to seeing you there!!!!!!
